What is BarCamp? / Qu’est que c'est un BarCamp?
BarCamp is an ad-hoc gathering born from the desire for people to share and learn in an open environment. It is an intense event with discussions, demos, and interaction from participants. The name BarCamp was inspired as a complement to FooCamp. Variations of BarCamp have started in Canada such as: DemoCamp (lighter more regular gathering), CaseCamp (marketing-oriented), AmazonCamp, InteractionCamp etc..
Un BarCamp, c'est un rassemblement ad-hoc né du désir de permettre à des personnes de partager et apprendre dans un environnement ouvert. C'est un évènement intense comportant des discussions, des démonstrations et des interactions riches entre les participants. Tous les participants doivent faire une démonstration ou présentation, animer une session ou aider à une d’entre elles. Les présentations sont affichées à l’horaire le jour même. Préparez-vous d'avance et arrivez tôt afin d’obtenir un espace sur le mur. PAS DE SPECTATEURS, SEULEMENT DES PARTICIPANTS! Quand vous viendrez, soyez prêts à partager avec les barcampeurs. Quand vous partirez, soyez prêts à partager ce que vous avez appris avec le reste du monde.
