Looking good John. The BEC Executive Director plans on being a camper but only if in this country. I feel Japan calling sometime in mid-late February and may not return until after the camp. I will attempt to assist all I can prior to my departure on the 1st trip of the new year. I think the BEC and BEC Board of Directors will be very supportive! Looking forward to it. Thanks for your leadership.

I also am looking forward to Corvallis' first BarCamp. To help keep it simple to organize, why don't we have our Friday night session be the planning session for the Saturday conference? That's how they did the Portland BarCamp, which seemed very effective. Those who showed up Saturday morning had an agenda with a choice of sessions and topics through the day, so they could plan their day and jump right in.
Portland also had a DemoCamp Saturday night, which was 5 minutes per presenter to show some of their work online (all we need is an online laptop and a projector). For example, I hope the founder of www.picomonster.com (all about imaginary numbers) will demo his work, and also others who have something to show.
As for finances, since it's more likely we'll do it again if we break even, I suggest dropping the "breakfast" on Saturday and just having coffee/water/juice and some bagels/pastry laid out as a morning snack; that would help the budget.
Thanks again for the good work!
