Demo Schedule

• come in the door and post your demo idea on the board
• 30 minutes of meeting other attendees (promote your idea, get votes!)
• presentation process starts at 6:00pm
• 30 second elevator pitches by all presenters
• attendees vote on top 4
• we will have 4 x 6 minute talks (time limit enforced, includes feedback time!)
• Powerpoint Karoake (contestants / format TBD)
• Wrap up/discussion/hang out until 7:30pm
• Party moves to Six Acres (bar across the street)

Suggestions

From feedback on the first event, it looks like we're going to have everyone do a 30 second pitch before. Info ahead of time is a good idea to let people, so feel free to fill out more info using the format below.

• A case study on how to build a web 2.0-style company directory using Rails in a weekend that includes support for tagging and tag clouds, wiki markup, in-place editing and other Ajax effects. Sorry, the demo has to wait for the August Vancouver Ruby & Rails Meetup at the Network Hub; I want to add some more polish. See you there.
